PhD Candidate
I am fascinated by the intersection of evolutionary biology and medicine, particularly in how evolutionary principles can illuminate the dynamics of microbial communities in health and disease. The human gut microbiome as a dense and diverse microbial ecosystem is constantly molded by evolutionary pressures and the ever-changing conditions of its surrounding environment – diet, antibiotics, and other host-driven factors- offering a natural laboratory for observing microbial adaptation in real time.
