Postdoctoral Fellow

I am interested in how gut microbiomes have been shaped by their host and by environmental factors over evolutionary time. Using a bioinformatics approach, I try to understand the evolutionary co-dynamics of humans and their gut microbes. My main interest is in investigating the impact human divergence and shifts in lifestyle have had on the evolution and function of the gut microbiome. I work both at the level of microbial communities and at the level of individual microbial trajectories.
